Small vicotry (keeps me motivated)

I started really trying to change my lifestyle on Jan 2 of this year and let me tell you the battle to always eat good, healthy, filling food has been tough for me, but it is SO paying off. Tomorrow is my official weigh in day and I have stepped on the scale for a sneak peek this morning and yesterday morning only to be pleasantly surprised. If these "surprises" are true weight loss as of tomorrow I will have lost 11.1lbs in less than a month! I'm really happy to see the numbers go down, I don't know if I could keep working this hard with out actually seeing/feeling the progress, so for that I am thankful!

You can do it!!! Just keep reminding yourself that there are more changes and benefits than just the scale. Watch how your pants fit. Since you just started, start measuring, main places: chest, hips, waist (your smallest point - above your belly button), stomach (at your belly button), hips (widest part of your butt), and thighs (thickest part). Compare in a month, and even if you don't lose, you should see a difference. ALSO ... silent benefits: cholesterol, blood pressure, etc.0

I do take measurements and have noticed that I have lost inches (mostly from my stomach). While that is super encouraging all in itself, there is something about seeing the numbers go down that keeps me going. I'm sure there will be weeks when I don't lose as much (like last week, I stayed at the same weight because I started the 30DS and was building muscle). All my choleserol and blood pressure levels are all already normal, so i'm not concerned with that. I am more or less trying to prevent getting health problems. I know that I would have a grimm future if I kept up my old lifestyle. Thanks for the encouragement0 -
I weigh often and record each time the scale indicates a smaller number than the last time I posted. This might be a day or a week, but it's definitely a motivator for me! When I was doing WW I dreaded even the slightest gain being reported. I can gain this way, but I know that I can't RECORD on MFP till I lose -- and I love to record losses because people are so amazingly supportive.
Weird, perhaps! But it works for me!0 -

I saw you post about that yesterday and I was thinking about doing the same, but I personally feel like I would be jumping the gun, and I would hate to be disappointed if it wasn't a true loss. IDK, I guess it's all mental either way! I think whatever keeps you motivated, do it!0 -
Good job on losing 11.5 some lbs already. That's truly amazing! I'm proud of you! Seeing those kind of results in just one month should encourage you to stay motivated! Set yourself mini goals through out your journey and you'll do just fine! Welcome to the new lifestyle of a healthier you.
