Weight training=ravenous appetite + fatigue?

Hi guys,
I have lost about 25 pounds in the last year. I started with mostly cardio exercises. I have recently joined a gym and tripled (or so) my strength training.
I feel like I just can't get enough to eat. Furthermore, I'm exhausted. This weekend I just could nap and nap and nap.
I have increased my protein and my calories (I figure I'm not supposed to be losing if I'm building muscle mass, right?), but I'm curious if others have had this experience.

Well, you will be tired if you are not eating enough. Increase your calories - especially if you aren't eating all your exercise calories now.
Make sure you are keeping your macros balanced. You need carbs, fat, and sufficient protein. Myfitnesspal's protein goals are a minimum recommendation (and a bit low, IMO). Make sure you are getting at least what it says, but research what you should be intaking for your specifications.
Edit to add: I just looked at your Food Diary, and you are leaving way too many calories uneaten!! Plus you are way low on your protein. No wonder you are so tired!
Change that and you'll feel much better. You have to listen when your body says "tired!"

I agree with the previous poster. It's insane how many calories I eat because I'm trying to bulk. Whenever I feel "off" I go eat. And rest days are important!0

The past week your protein seemed way too low. See how the increased protein effects you and go from there.0

1 gram per pound of lean body mass girly. increase it as muscle mass increases.
also consider drinking a protein shake just after your strength training routine.
drink tons of water!

Do you guys know of any good protein powders that don't have caffeine in them?
