I find it takes away cravings for sweet foods. That could just be me though. It may not have that effect on everybody.

    Benefits of Lemon Water
Before I get ahead of myself, though, let’s talk about the health benefits. Lemon water is not only refreshing, but it also:

Improves heartburn, bloating and other digestion problems, including constipation and diarrhea.
Cleanses and stimulates the liver and kidneys.
Provides calcium, magnesium and potassium for your body, as well as vitamin C.
Has reportedly been used to relieve asthma.
Offers relief from cold and flu symptoms.
Prevents the build up of bacteria in the body.
Alkalizes your blood which can prevent wrinkles, illness and fatique.
    Detoxify your body.

Tastes good and helps your body to be more alkaline with is healthier. And if you have a lemon tree in your back yard like me, you gotta do something with the lemons besides lemonade.

I think the benefit is gained when the water is warmed on an empty stomach. Some sort of cleansing effect but I'm not sure

it also helps if you have a hard time drinking plain water, a little flavor will make it easier!

it's a flavour changer and a natural one rather than the powder / concentrated liquid sticks you add to a bottle.

I like lemon or lime or cucumber slices. Its definitely a change from straight up water.

I have a glass that holds 4 glasses of water. To that I add 3 good squirts of lemon juice and a good size wedge of lime. The benefits? Other than the fact that I can actually consume and enjoy anywhere between 12 and 20 glasses of water a day, I dunno! LOL :drinker: When I bought my treadclimber there was a booklet that came with that recommended drinking ice water as opposed to room temp water because your body had to work harder to warm it to your core temp. Whether this is fact or fiction, I dunno. I just prefer ice cold water!

I have lemon water with my evening meal everyday. I don't know that much about the health benefits, for me its just a whole lot better than some tasteless water with my meal.

    Ahahaha! Luv this^^^
  • I heard if you drink at least 2 glasses of water a day with lemon, it causes your body to burn an extra 100 calories a day dont know if it is true but can't hurt. I switch up water then water with lemon of and on through out day.

I put a little sweet-n-low in mine..... When I'm craving something to eat I sip on this. I'm thinking of trying the carbonated water with the lemon and sweet-n-low so I don't get bored. You can use any sweetner of your choice.
  • also dis06 is correct about the benefits

I didn't know about the heartburn bit. You'd figure it'd be worse since it's acidic. Didn't know it was a diuretic either. I wonder where the site got that information.

It's also great for cleaning and making make-it-yourself-stuff-that-includes-vinegar things smell good :D
