Ok all...I am open to all friends, all ages. I will encourage but will need encouraging as well! I have gained 45 lbs over the past 6 years. I tell myself I have reasons (I lost my father, my boyfriend misled me, blah blah blah)...but doggone it, I'm 50 years old and I need to get with the program! My goal is to lose that 45 lbs but do it in a healthy way. Look forward to any posts!

I will let you decide if you want me as a friend or not

Hi, I'm Barbra (my friends call me Barbi)

I've lost the same 80 lbs 3 times until now.....I've finely figured learned the key to weight loss.

I believe in eating all or most of your calories burnt by exercise to keep your weight loss steady and fuel your body for the exercise you are doing.

I believe you have to eat the calories MFP tells you too which is on your diary as "my goal"

I believe your "net" should never go under 1200

I will not tell you your doing a good job on your diary if you're under your "net" calories

I will also not comment if your diary is not public

I WILL be a great support if you are eating right, exercising, and doing it RIGHT without going hungry.

    because it works

    Welcome. :flowerforyou:
  • I am 55 and I too have put on 45-50 pounds in the last few years. Welcome menopause! Because my body won't tolerate cholesterol medications - causes severe joint pain - I researched Dr. Furhman's diet which is nutritionally rich, lots of vegetables and fruit, nuts, beans. I too will need lots of encouragement.

Started back on exercise track today using Elliptical. My goal is to lose 40 to 60 pounds by the end of the year.

Take heart girl you can do it! Feel free to add me to your friends list.
