The hardest part of MFP....

I think the hardest part of keeping a diary (public at that) on MFP is the days you don't stick to it. I really think it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out like that, and it is always tempting to not put it on there, but I have found that the more honest you are with everyone else, the more honest you are with yourself. It really seems that denial is a big issue for me and if i don't record EVERYTHING then i get frustrated when i don't see results, but now, with my 100% honest approach, if I don't see results one week I can actually look back and see what happened.. it seems to give me more peace and less frustration and I am finally holding myself accountable :) anyone else out there that sees this with MFP? anyone having a hard time with being honest with themself?

Yea, honesty is hard, but I agree that you need to write down absolutely everything in order to keep yourself accountable. I find that actually the exercise is harder for me then the food (this week they were both pretty bad) and I also find it hard when I have emotional troubles (like being sick for example)

Oh man do I hear you on that one. I had to post my first major fail day on Friday and boy did it sting. I hit the forums right away for some support because I felt really gross. You're right about the honesty, cheating myself is how I wound up needing to lose.
