I'm new here. I was paying at another site, and after discovering this site, I dropped my membership there and started tracking here.

My motivation for losing weight is two-fold:

1. I want to be healthier. My father and mother died of heart disease and cancer; I'd like to avoid both of those diseases, if possible.
2. I also hate the way I look in slacks and shorts! I'm only 5' tall and tend to carry my excess weight below the waist.

I hope to meet others with the same challenges.

    Hi & welcome. I am pretty new here too (jan2). I a 5'3'' and also carry most of my weight below the waist. This is a great site. I am enjoying my success so far and it isn't as hard as I thought it would be.
