Hi all,
I'm fairly new to this site. Its been really helpful, but I'm struggling to reach my calorie goal. Are there any healthy snacks I can eat so I'm not always under? I've been getting the starvation mode message every day for nearly week now,and I don't want my weightloss to slow down becuase of this.
Thanks
Clio

Fat free greek yogurt is my a.m. snack. It took some trial and error to find one I like but I love Oikos. Veggie and yogurt dip is a new one i've been munching on. 2 tablespoons of sunflower seeds, or you can do almonds or walnuts if you prefer. I'm also addicted to Trident gum for those times i'm not really hungry but want to chew. Good luck to you0

Thank you. That's really helpful.0

My all time favorite snack is Jolly Time 100 calorie paks of Healthy Pop Kettle Corn - it's sweet and salty - I can't get enough of it!!0

Tribe Hummus makes great hummus and especially the roasted red pepper is low cal. I eat with pretzels or tortilla chips but if I liked raw veggies, I'd eat it with them instead to save on calories.0

Just found the 100 cal packs last week! Love it!!!0 -
Sometime a handful of almonds (unsalted) can do the trick.0

I love cottage cheese. In a half cup serving there is 120 calories and some decent protein. Almonds, avocados, bananas, are also great snack ideas. I make sure to grab a 6oz greek yogurt after my workouts. The plain is 100 cals but the fruit ones are about 140.0

Avocado, almonds, any nut butter, coconut - basically any healthy, high fat, high calorie snack.
If I am under my calorie goal I will eat a tablespoon or two of almond butter, a half an avocado, 16 almonds...
You can also make more of a meal out of it, for example, a piece of toast with banana slices and almond butter.
It is really not that hard once you get the hang of it!0 -
most pieces of fruit are in the 80 calorie range. so are 25 pistacchio nuts.
a little bottle of kefir is good protein and about 140 cal. some of the kashi bars are pretty good too.
i also like the little snackpacks of bolthouse carrots.
most of these can tide you over for an hour or two and add some nutitrition without any bad ingredients.0 -
If i could bathe in a tub of Sabra Sun dried tomato hummus i probably would.
I love it with baby carrots.0 -

I love the 100 cal packs of popcorn only because it feels like more food then the chips0 -
I would suggest investing in some protein powder. Many people are under the misconception that protein is just for bodybuilders, when the truth is really that most of us do not get the recommended amount of protein from our daily foods. Yes, fruits are good snacks, however contain mainly sugars and water which do not aid in achieving fullness.0

Bumping for the great snack list!0
