I just ran my first half-marathon today (yay!).

I'm already thinking about my next long race. However, I live at sea level, and some of the fantasy races I would like to travel to do are not. Specifically, I have my eye on the Rock and Roll series in Nashville, where the elevation is about 500 above sea level. I am sure that is nothing for someone from a mountainous area, but for me, that sounds very challenging -- just like my normal 90 percent humidity would seem to others, I guess!

Is there a good way to train for a higher-elevation race when you live at a very low altitude? When I say there are no hills where I live, I mean there are NO hills. The closest I could get would be some more bridges, I guess.

Any advice welcome!
