Lately ive been transitioning from a student to a professional. I've been crazy stressed with dealing with it all and keeping everyone around me happy. Whenever my emotions get to a certain point i start to lose my appetite for food. Even though i may be hungry its hard to eat and i have to force myself to finish a meal. Im not trying to starve myself but the sight and smell of food when im stressed make me sick to my stomach. I dont know if i am the only one that has this problem but i need to find a solution. Since i dont want to get off track or have to many days with calories less than 1200.....I need help. If you have any suggestions to my problem please feel free to let me know.

    Hey girl,
I have experienced this problem as well. What you may want to do is try eating small meals throughout the day. I know you maynot have time to cook or prepare things all of the time so I suggest you try fruit in the morning when you are on the go, and carry almonds or any type of nuts with you and let that be another small meal. Then later on that day eat something small for lunch like a salad or sandwhich and soup... then a few hours after that a protein bar or pretzals and later on dinner.. Eating 5-6 small meals throughout the day are easier to get down sometimes vs. focusing on three meals a day. This also will help ensure you meet your calorie goals. Oh and protein shakes are good too :)

    Hi.

I have experience with this. A lot of experience. Whenever I am stressed, I'm just like you – I’m hungry but the smell and sight of food makes me feel sick.

I ended up going to the doctors and being put on anti-nauseous pills that I had to take 30 minutes before eating. They worked. Nothing else worked. I couldn't even eat small meals and I just felt sick looking at the food.

If nothing else seems to work for you, I suggest maybe talking to your doctor about it.
