Stationary bike vs Treadmill

I am wondering, is a stationary bike as good as a treadmill? I feel like it's almost lazy because you are sitting down while using a stationary bike, but I wonder if it makes a difference as long as you are burning the same amount of calories. Thoughts?

I don't feel lazy using my Stationary Bike as I can't walk far without back or hips killing me. Don't know which. But I was wondering the same thing. If a calorie burned is a calorie burned no matter how you do it?:bigsmile:0

It all has to do with how much you push yourself and how long you exercise for. I myself, have a lower calorie burn on the bike compared to running, but that doesn't mean that the hour I spent in spin class was wasted!0
