Does it matter what time of day we weigh in?

Does it matter what time of day we do our weekly weighing? I usually weigh in in the morning before my gym class but today I did it in the early evening and was disappointed with the result! Have I actually had my first gain (been doing this almost three months now) or is it possible that we 'gain' weight over the course of the day?

Yes, you gain weight over the course of the day, and when you eat. Try to make the situation exactly the same for every weigh in. Wake up, use the toilet, then weigh in naked - it'll just be you and the scales.

I try to weigh at the same time of the day, on the same day of the week, on the same scale, wearing the same thing...nothing lol.

Like you if I try to weigh in between I tend to be disappointed.

If you weigh in the evening you will be including whatever you have eaten through the day - weigh a pint of water and you will see it makes quite a difference.

Consistency is the key - weigh at the same time every week.
