Not a problem but an observation, Interesting observation this week - The day after a long run (13+ miles, marathon training) my weight always goes UP - Then drops off a day or two later.

I always eat back exercise calories, although this week I tried 'front loading' them - i.e. deliberately had an excess of 500 cals for teh two days before the run and ate back run cals - 1000 on the day of the run itself (17 miles, 2200 cals)

Take what you want from this info... just thought I would share)

That always used to happen to me and I never understood it before. Before I lost weight and I ran I used to think running made me put weight ON as I always weighed more the day after. Now I know it's water on those sore muscles. It'll be gone in a couple of days.

Seems water retention is the common explanation. Makes sense.
