Preparing for Vacation! those last 10 pounds.....

I'm working to lose those last 10 pounds! i have been successful over the past year, but have a vacation in the Bahamas in a little over 7 weeks. Most of the people that i'm going to be there with are in outstanding shape and fitness level.
So instead of my pen/paper method of tracking my foods i wanted to give MyFitnessPal a try!
I already eat clean / limited processed foods so it's just about being extra careful/strict with myself these next few weeks.

You've made a good choice in a calorie logging program. 10 lbs in 7 weeks is definitely doable. I've lost 8 in a little less than 3 weeks.0

i leave for Jamaica 6 weeks from today. I am 7 pounds from my goal.... Woohoo for vacations and a motivation to lose :happy:0

I'm leaving for Costa Rica in eight weeks! I'm hoping to lose about ten.
I've been working out a lot but only started tracking food two days ago.0 -
The last 10 are tough! I am sticking to my calories exactly, but to be healthy at this weight, it's pretty slow. 1200 a day is not much less than I need to maintain my weight. I am hitting the weights a few days a week, but in corporate sales, the last few weeks of the quarter are mad so I am not hitting them for very long before heading back to work.
Not complaining, not making excuses...just hope I can show up in the Bahamas and be proud, not embarrassed in a swimsuit.0 -

I am going to my sister's destination wedding in 2 weeks.0

So, I did it - dropped 19 (almost 20) pounds for the Bahamas. 8 days later, I return, get this...8.5 pounds heavier. Oy! Of course most of it is water weight...ate mostly fish and salads down there, didn't go crazy at all, but still. That was rough.
Back on track today.0 -
I joined MFP January 2011, I have been very successful and have lost 12 lbs - the biggest eye opener by logging your foods is what you actually are putting in your mouth. I too am on my last 16lbs, I can honestly say I am not giving it 100% - but I do know that those last 10lbs are the hardest. I am happy with the body I have so I am not stressed out just going with the flow, Good Luck to you and your vacation sounds fabulous BTW!0
