Unfortunately, contrary to what infomercials selling exercise equipment would like you to believe, you cannot lose fat in one area by doing specific exercises. Your body will lose fat proportionately all over. Some areas may change at a slightly different rate than others, but that is DNA dependent, not exercise.

Just make sure you are doing a good, full body workout that exercises your core. Having strong abs and core will help you hold the shape/posture you desire, but the fat will come off gradually all over.

You cannot reduce any part of the body directly with exercise. Body fat is lost systematically, meaning if you lose 1% that percentage is lost ALL over at the same time. To keep losing that fat, stay in calorie deficit and keep exercising.

I'm doing Jillian michaels 30 day shred and it has made a difference in my midsection. I've lost 4" in my waist since 1/3/12.
