I've waited a few days & maybe even months to try and really figure out what to do with myself and I knew that this is the best place for advice or just to get some things off my chest. The past few weeks have be absolutely horrible for myself. I was having serious issues with my stomach and my anxiety was threw the roof and it was finally time to get help. I went to the doctors and was told I have IBS and finally got some help with my anxiety. This has completely destroyed me. It is so hard to explain to people who aren't going through it but I no longer feel myself. I'm anxious, I'm nervous, I don't want to go out.....and I'm only 22. I am happy that I was able to get help and figure out my issues but it is just an embarassing matter for me..
I would love to hear from some people who have IBS and/or Anxiety and how you manage your stress. I've been reading a lot on ways to manage IBS and anxiety and a lot say diet and exercise. Exercise is something that has always been a stress releaser for me but I have no motivation to do it right now..I feel like more relaxing things such as yoga and going for a walk would be much more beneficial for the state of mind I am in right now. I am so worried about my health and realized It was time to focus on me. I realized that I do a lot for other people, which I have NO problem doing. It's something I enjoy doing. I love being able to give people advice and make people feel good about themself but I realized that now I need to do someting for myself.
I guess I would like any advice on ways to manage IBS, anxiety, and stress. For some reason talking about it gives me peace of mind but with IBS it's not something you really LIKE to talk about.
Thanks in advance:)
