Excercising Before Bed???

so I have heard that its not good to exercise at night before bed. And since I don't get home from work and school until 10, it has stopped me from exercising when I get home even when I have the energy. Is this true? Why or why not?

  • It's not that it's not good, it's just you may have trouble sleeping if you go to bed soon afterwards.

    I only exercise at night. Do what works for your schedule. For me, exercise at night helps calm me down so I can sleep. Some people do get bursts of energy from it that keep them from sleeping. Try it for a couple of weeks, and see how it works for you.

    If you have trouble sleeping try drinking Yogi "Bedtime" tea.
    The taste is fine and it puts me right to bed.

    I often workout around 9 or 10 PM and try to get up around 7 or 8 and it works for me :flowerforyou:

    I think it effects everyone differently. I Zumba before bed. I will Zumba for 45 minutes, shower and PASS OUT. It knocks me out.

    So, I think it depends on you. Just try it a few nights and see if you're able to sleep or not.

    ok i will do some excercises tonight when i get back from work and see how it goes
  • I rather exercise at night. I have a lot of trouble sleeping and working out after work and than going to sleep puts me right out. I'm not like most people, exercise doesn't wake me up but allows me to relax which is probably why I feel sleepy.
