I certainly agree that adherence and consistency are keys to weight loss. However, for me, choosing healthy foods over junk food makes sticking to the plan easier, because it takes longer for my body to digest the food and I don't get hungry as fast. I still eat junk food from time to time, but I don't eat it everyday because I don't want to be hungry again ten minutes later. So choosing some types of foods over others helps me to keep the overall calorie count down and helps me stick to the plan.0
