I've only been doing this about 2 1/2 weeks or so, but I'm having a really hard time today. I'm finding myself very hungry and down. I was very motivated last week and so into doing this and today I'm totally opposite. I don't want to give up.........I really need to do this for so many reasons. Do we all have these days? So soon? I feel like I'm already running out of ideas for meals. I'm trying to eat more protein and less carbs (because that's what one of the books I read told me to do), yet I'm still hungry and sometimes shaky when I don't eat. I get home from work and want to eat everything in sight, b/c I'm starving. Does it ever get any easier? I don't want to quit this like I've quit all the other diets. Maybe I'm totally PMSing (sorry guys) and this will go away in a few days. Just wanted to put my feelings out there.

  • DON'T GIVE UP!!! I don't know what yr BMR or any of those other numbers should be, but i don't think you should be starving yourself. And definitely not to the point of shaking.... stick with it, we are here for you!!!

I felt like not going to the gym this morning, but forced myself to go. Afterwards I was glad I went. Point being we all have those days. To help feel full longer eat protein and fiber. They fill you up and keep you full. As far as calories go there is no difference between protein calories and carbohydrate calories. The difference is protein increases your metabolism which causes you to burn more calories. I read that in a science magazine this past week.
