So as a new member to this site, I'm excited and ready to go to get in the shape I desire, not only for now but to sustain for a lifetime! There are however a few problems that I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions about that could help this journey..the biggest one is, what to eat on a daily basis to fulfill the daily requirements without breaking the bank!
As of now, I think I have a pretty balanced diet and believe what I have begun eating will be very beneficial to aiding my goals and is quite inexpensive, but I always feel like I could add more to perfect it!
I don't know if anyone has a daily routine and eating plan that they follow, and I know that many people can't handle or enjoy eating the same thing day after day, but any help on what some good staple eats would be is nice and very much appreciated as well as hearing what you eat and what has helped you along.
Here is an example of what my daily meals are (very plain):
- Breakfast: Oatmeal (Very filling and I believe a decent way to start the day)
- Mid-Morning Snack: Orange/Apple/Banana
- MM Snack #2: Granola Bar or Save for after Lunch
- Lunch: Grilled Cheese on Wheat Toast
- Evening Snack: Another Granola bar or nothing
- Dinner: (This is where I'd like some really nice but inexpensive ideas the most if possible!) Rice or Pasta with Frikadellen (type of meatball/meatloaf in Germany, very cheap and delicious for me) Beans or other Vegetable
- Desert: Nutella, Small Waffle, Granola Bar, Fruit, Yogurt...depends on the night or skip it.
I hope that this sample menu gives you a small idea of what I typically eat on a daily basis, and hopefully seeing what everyone else eats or getting some suggestions can liven up my menu!
P.S. As a small note, the main reasoning for this is because I am the stereotypical "college student" and I don't have very much to spend per week, with the menu I eat now, I can proudly say that I eat for under 2$ a day!
