Can eating too many almonds be bad for your diet, since they are high in fat?

I am no expert, but I would say yes. They are high in fat and calories. Yes it is healthy fat, but everything I have read says not to eat more than 1oz of raw nuts everyday.

I would think so. But does anyone know how many almonds is in about one ounce? I've read that it's about 23 almonds, but then I read something else that said 6 almonds is one serving. I really hope it's 23 because otherwise I've been eating waaaay too many almonds everyday!

As long as they fit into your calorie goal, they are a great snack. I eat them every day at work, Monday through Friday (just look at my diary for the evidence!). I weigh out 1 serving on a scale at home, which is 30 grams and probably in the neighborhood of 20 almonds.
  • Anything in excess is bad for your diet - everything in moderation, remember? I would aim for a handful of almonds a day to reap the health benefits without it ruining your macro goals.

I downloaded Jillian Michaels ripped in 30 and it also came with a menu plan!!! soo excited cause i was starting to get bored i like everything but the dinners, so i will just make my own, but one of the "snacks" was 1 orange and 1/4 cup of almonds, what ever that is, is what i will be using, if you decide to download it too make sure in the file list it has the menu .pdf in it :)
