One month in... so far so good

I found this site and started using it around the 10th of January. My starting weight was 292 I am 5'8". I have arthritis in my back, knees and ankles. I need to lose weight and keep it off. I found this site and have been using it everyday. I have now lost 8Lbs since 02 January 12. I am happy I have lost the 8 Lbs, I still have a lot to lose 134 Lbs, but that is okay I will loose it. I just have to remind myself that slow and steady wins the race. I love that I can use the camera on my phone an scan the bar code on the item I am eating, and it lists fast food items I might eat as well. I try to eat 6 times a day, 3 meals with 3 snacks and so far it has helped me. I have also found that if I use a small plate then I am not eating anywhere near what I did before and my portion sizes are more 'real'.
