Metabolism Question. .

Ok, I have been working out like a maniac and have a ferocious appetite. I pretty much eat my 1200 calories before I ever get home from work but I’m not snacking to snack, I am HUNGRY! I am eating good stuff too (ok the occasional mini chocolate bar).
I have not gained any weight. I lost my pesky 5 but have leveled off at a decent weight with just a little fluff on my abs. I am training for the Tough Mudder in May and trying to reduce my body fat percentage.
Is it safe to assume that because of the weight lifting and running that I am increasing my metabolism?
(please, please, please, fingers crossed)
