i've just started drinking coffee to wake me up for my really early classes. i've been getting 12 oz, which i calculated as 60 calories with nothing in it( i just use the starbucks equivalent). if i were to get a french vanilla flavored coffee, would that change the calorie count?
thanks for your help

coffee has so few calories, that the calorie count usually doesn't show up on the label. Your 12 oz cup probably packs less than 10 calories if you're drinking it black. As far as flavored coffees, the infusion of flavors, either natural or artificial, into the beans, does not add calories.
But, adding flavored syrup or flavored creamer DOES pack in the calories. Are you just drinking flavored coffee that is brewed black with nothing added? I wouldn't even count the calories in that case, the caffeine pretty much negates the few calories in the black coffee.0 -
Look at Starbucks cofee, if you're thinking caramel macchiato 12oz it would be180 calories, whereas you can have a 16oz Starbucks black coffee which is only 5 cals or you could go for something in the middle like a 12 oz vanilla latte which would be 90 calories. Starbucks has GREAT nutritional info on their website so if you want to know a specific drink with the kind of milk you put in or whipped cream etc check it out!0
