Nursing Mom

I have an 8 month old baby that is nursing full time. I was told to add 500 cals to compensate for nursing, but it seems I can't lose anything! I tried cutting a couple hundred cals, but my baby started screaming after every feeding and it was obvious I wasn't producing enough. Any advise? Have you had any experience with this? I am feeling pretty frustrated any help would be great. Thanks!

My son is 16 months old and I wasnt using MFP when I was breastfeeding but I really didnt cut my calories too much while I was nursing because I knew that I needed the calories. Have you tried drinking more water and eating plenty of fruits and veggies? I nursed for 12 months and make sure I ate something every 3 or so hours and drank a TON of water. Just like every pregnancy is different, every woman's body after pregnancy is different as well. I know you are frustrated but hopefully it will get easier and the weight will start to come off. Feel free to add me for support and motivation!0
