How much Sodium???

So I've been messing around with my macro settings today and I noticed that I ALWAYS go over on my sodium. I know sodium causes water rentention, bloating, and potentially makes the scale tip in the wrong direction.

I changed my goal to 1800mg a day just to try and be more conscious of it, but I already went over today :embarassed: ....

Anyway, what are your sodium goals and does it really make a difference? What are the advantages to lower sodium diets?

The idea of low sodium seems difficult for me since I love hot sauce and full flavored foods....

Any tips, ideas, and thoughts would be appreciated....Thanks!
