Be under 1200 calories or eat after 9pm

I am just over 1000 for today. Would it be better to be under 1200 for the day since it is late (almost 9:30pm) or to go ahead and eat a snack to get closer the 1200 calories??
Usually it is no problem at all to get to 1200! Had a busy night and didn't eat much for dinner.

Timing doesn't matter - unless you find that eating late at night gives you indigestion or makes it hard to sleep, then enjoy your snack.
If you don't eat all those cals today, I would add a few of them on to tomorrow's breakfast to make up.0 -
Go ahead and eat if you're hungry. It doesn't matter what time it is - your body has no idea.0

Thanks for the posts. I just thought about my Tuesday morning workout - 60 minutes of running. I think I will go ahead and eat something small to help me have a little more fuel for my run at 5:15am.0
