Low Cal Chow Mein!!!! 163cals
If your anything like me on a diet, I crave chinese take away. I had this last night after adpating from another recipe, very tasty and very filling and only 163 callories (serves 4 people). I had mine with a Weight Watcher sweet and sour sauce and some left over pork added. Best dish ive had in a long time :-) :-)
300g medium egg noodles
1 tbsp oil
1 onion onions
2 cloves garlic
300g bean sprouts
160g mange tout
2 tbsps/30ml dark soy sauce
5g five spice powder
Thinly slice the onion, garlic and top and tail the mange tout.
Cook the noodles in a large pan of boiling, salted water according to the pack instructions (unless pre-cooked ones)
In the meantime, heat the remaining oil in a wok or large frying pan, and stir-fry the onion over high heat for 2-3 minutes until the onion is softened.
Add the garlic, bean sprouts, mange tout and five spice powder, and continue stir-frying for a further minute.
Drain the noodles well and add to the wok/frying pan, and soy sauce. Stir-fry for a further 2 minutes until piping hot.
