Well it is really hard to say without knowing your weight goal and what you are eating and how much water you are drinking. Not to mention your starting weight.0
-
don't despair - maybe it's not coming off on the scales but you are probably toning up a lot - pull something out of the wardrobe that's been too tight to wear and see if it fits any better - don't forget the closer you are to your target weight the harder it gets and I've often heard people say muscle weighs more than fat so if you're building up muscle you might not see the results you expect on the scales.
Sometimes I think our whole system gets stuck in a rut especially if we eat the same type of foods all the time - try a few days of totally different foods/drink - sometimes I think that can help kick start everything again.
Don't give up - we've all been there - just stick with it at least it's not going up!0 -
I've heard that changing up your routine can help with a plateau. Have you taken yoga or pilates? Cycling? Anything new may jump start your weight loss again. Good luck!0

I could sit here and make a million suggestions but have you lost any inches? I actually gained 2 lbs this month but lost lots and lots of inches and shrunk, as aggravating as it is my body's still smaller. Hope that helps cause I know how dang frustrating the scale is.0

I drink abround 3 litres of water a day, my daily diet is below:
Breakfast: Bran flakes or Fruit and Fibre with skimmed milk
Lunch: Heinz big soup (chicken and veg) or tuna and cucumber wholewheat pasta or chicken salad sandwich on wholemeal bread with pack of salt and vinegar french fries
Dinner: 2 poached eggs on 2 wholemeal toast or salmon salad with new potatoes or chicken stirfry
snacks: bananass, apples, mixed fruit and nuts (2 off the list)
I want to lose 50lb which will take me into the ideal weight range, im 5ft 8
Thanks for your reply0 -
I think you are not eating enough for the amout of exercising you are doing.0

Im nopt sure about the inches be4cause i only took the emasurements last week, i just think that if im toning up then im never going to look thin at the weight i am so u have to lose the weight on the scales at some point.
Im just starting out on my journey so its not like i am near my goal, i have 50 lbs to lose lol
i lost 11lb in 5 weeks before xmas but now ...nothing x0 -
It sounds to me as though your body has fallen asleep sort of speak...you eat the same thing everyday & exercise the same everyday from the sounds of it...you need to change up your food & exercise & hopefully that will work although I am sure it will. It is a plateau & any trainer will tell you, you need to change your routine up! You can do it! You dont need luck0

and i do various exercises,
mon -gym and swim
tues -boxercise
wed -swim
thurs -zumba and swim
fri -gym and swim

sunday -pump
and on top of that i take my dog on a 3 mile fast walk/run atl;east 4 times a week0 -
It is probably that you are not eating enough for the amount you are exercising. You could also change your goal to lose 1lbs a week. Usually the 2lbs a week is intended for people who are trying to lose 100+ make sure you are gettinfpg an accurate reading of calories burned when exercising. You may have to get a heart rate monitor for this. Also try eating back at least half your exercise calories. You have to at least net 1200 and MVP does not include exercise until you do it. Really I think you may need to up the calorie in take and you should see a lose. Good luck and hope this helps.0

eat more.0

I agree about the eating too less... once you go below a certain calorie intake, your body goes into starvation mode which causes your metabolism to slow.0
-
if you're exercising that much every day, you should be eating more than 1200 calories a day. Your metabolism is going to get jacked up if you keep going like that. Give it a few days of eating your exercise-gained calories back, in addition to your baseline 1200 calories a day, and see if you don't start dropping some.0
-
How long have you been dieting and excersicing? I read somewhere on here (sorry don't remember exactly where) that for every 12 weeks, you are supposed to take a week off.0
-
Yup, my bet is that you're losing inches and gaining muscle. How do your clothes fit?0
-
You are probably starving yourself and your body is panicing and storing fat instead of getting rid of it. Your body needs atleast 10-13x your body weight in calorie intake to lose without starving. Then add the exercise to help burn off the extra calories properly.0

Eat More! You're not eating enough.0

It looks like you may be eating a little too many carbs?? Try eating protein for breakfast instead of cereal and cut out the starchy foods for a week - that may push you over your plateau. But eat enough of the good veggies & protein...0

You're not eating enough and you're doing too much exercise. Too much vigorous exercise is stress on the body. Stress raises cortisol levels.
Google chronic cardio.0 -
dont get discouraged! Sometimes the scale doesnt show changes, but your body is improving everyday you are eating better and exercising! i was stuck at a weight for 2 weeks, but my scrub top for work was loose so i KNOW there was a difference even if the scale didnt show it! kepp up the good work, it will pay off!!0

How much did you lose? Unless you have a lot of weight to lose, 10 lbs in one month is unrealistic. Even with a lot to lose it's pretty aggresive.
Exercising that much and eating so little is probably not going to be sustainable for long. Your body need fuel to function properly.0 -

2 things - not enough food intake - not enough rest between workouts.
You are getting some good feedback here.
Consider some slight modifications and PUNCH THROUGH THAT WALL!
You can do this.0 -
You definitely need to invest in a HRM. It will give you a far more accurate measure of the calories you are burning.
If you are living an active lifestyle, 1200 calories are too low to sustain you. You need to eat more. Consider a high-protein, low-carb diet.
If you follow the same routine and do the same exercises at the same intensity, your body will adjust to it and become more efficient. You should also consider increasing the intensity of your routines, adding weight training and changing from 7 days a week to 5 days a week, with rest days planned. The rest day gives your muscles time to heal and become stronger, allowing them to burn ore calories.
Lastly, look into HIIT for your exercise routine.0 -

As posted above-eat more! Or zig zag your calories to create the same deficit eating 1200 every single day would-keep your body guessing.0

Try stopping some of the carbs in exchange for more protein. Stop drinking diet sodas/artificial sweeteners. Increase your caloric intake by 200 calories. Get plenty of sleep each night.0
-
All of the ideas are great, but I would read into caloric cycling. When you hit a plateau like you have, I would look at increasing my calories by about 300 calories a day. Play around with your protein, carbs and fat intake. Trick your body up. Confuse it. I think this will help alot. Read up on these things before you apply them though.0

I think everyone has made some good suggestions, I just want to add a thought about sodium. I was just reading one of Jillian Michael's books and she was mentioning how damaging salt can be to your weight. Check the amounts on your soup and salmon...also try to minimize (or do without the salt) on those fries. I think if you do this you will see a difference on the scale.0
