Avoid crunches and sit ups, done incorrectly they can easily cause injury (typically neck or lower back).
Try planks; you need no equipment, they look very easy but are very, very hard and they work your core muscles very well. you tube have loads of videos on planks, and once you've seen one you've seen them all, they really are that simple!
But note: Exercising your stomach muscles will not give you a flat stomach or six pack. These are achieved by diet. Lose the weight and the abs are revealed. That is not to say exercise is not valuable, it is, it gives better posture and prevents injury but you can plank, crunch and sit up until the cows come home but you will not see the results of that work with a layer of fat.
Best wishes.0 -

If you have an ipod/iphone/ipad try searching for the app "6 pack promise". I downloaded it for free & it has an exercise & dietary plan.0

Thank you! I am dieting too, losing the excess weight but I am so unfit and after ds2 my abdominal muscles were very stretched and actually didn't move back together until 1 1/2 years after having him so they are very weak and do need toning!
I will give the planks a go, I have actually got an exercise ball (used during labour!! Lol)
I'll check that app out too!0
