Ok,

I love the fact that I feel great and don't want to crash on the couch as soon as I get home from work and just stay there. I love the fact that in general I have a lot more energy even during the day, and I don't want an afternoon nap any more.

:grumble: What I DON'T like is that at 12.30 at night I am roaming the house because I feel like I could run a mile or two!

I have tried relaxing teas in the evening, warm showers with herbal soaps and shampoos that are supposed to relax you, relaxing music, reading...nothing I am doing works!!!! :mad:

Any suggestions? Also, will this pass? Will my body eventually calm down a bit so that I can sleep?

    I don't have those issues- Do you workout in the morning or the evening? What are your work hours? What time are you going to bed?

    Hi. What is your schedule. Make sure you have peacefull time 1 or two hours before going to sleep. Meditation helps. Try sleepy time tea.

    I work out in the morning before I go to the office, usually between 7-8 am. I usually am in the office around 10am and leave around 6pm or so. I am getting into the bed usually between 10 and 11 pm.

    I had the same problem when I started working out. I work out in the morning and I'd be figitey all day then not be able to sleep at night.

    After a couple of weeks my body calmed down and it only happens to me occassionally now.

    This exact same thing happened to me!

    A week or two into first starting MFP, I would be raring to go at night! It did pass for me, and when I posted a similar question to you (about a year ago now) lots of people had a similar experience.

    It didn't last long for me, as I still woke early and worked out (I didn't sleep in the next day) and I hope it will pass for you too!

    OMG! I am going through that RIGHT NOW. I thought it was because I've started craving diet root beer (yum-yum) and that I was having it too late. In retrospect, I just recently sustained an injury to my back which kept me from working out for a week... all this energy started right when I returned to my workouts! And, I remember going through this when I first started developing my routine...which means, it should taper off. Otherwise, I would be in a coma by now...lol

    I'm having the SAME problem LOL. I used to be able to fall asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. Now I lie there and toss and turn for at least 30-45 minutes. I've tried everything you have... lemme know if anything works LOL. :) Good luck!

    I have the same issue... but in all honesty, I'm grateful that I'm not sleeping soooo soundly... because with all the water I'm drinking throughout the day - I'm peeing several times each night. LOL!

    I didn't get to walk yesterday and I slept in until 8AM this morning... I've been "naturally" waking up at 5 to walk... I had a hard time getting moving this morning, and that sucked.

    I have found that a warm bath with epsom salts right before bed helps me to settle down for a few hours. I always thought that I was "just a person who needed a lot of sleep" - I think now that I'm eating healthier and exercising, my bodies telling me that it doesn't require as much sleep as I thought it did!
