I have 8lbs to go until I reach my goal- however I realized last week that once I lose these remaining pounds I want to drop another 10-15lbs-
Do you ever get like that?- My body just isn't how I want it to be yet-

Yep! I wanted to loose 7 lbs and I am 2 lbs away from my goal however I am wondering if maybe another 5 lbs wouldn't be a bad idea. I think everyone gets like this. I am going to see how it is to maintain how I am and if it's TOO much hard work to just keep up the weight then maybe it isn't the correct weight for me or (you). If your not happy with your weight maybe you can start working on toning more to see if you get the results that way, I know I'd be happy with the weight if I was toned thats for sure! lol good luck :flowerforyou:0

I was like that too, I reached my original goal and decided to lose 10 more. I have 4 to go until that new goal and I've prety much already decided to lose 10 more, but I'm waiting until after the wedding for that. I think a lot of us are like that, it's hard to guess how your body will look at a certain weight, and when you get there it's not always what you expected.0

Actually, I was thinking about this too. What is the best way to decide what is the best (healthiest, most reasonable) weight for your body? Obviously everyone is different, but that's what I'm having a hard time deciding. I know that BMI is a consideration, but that leave such a big window.
I, for example, am about 5'7" tall, and about 153 right now. I have pretty much always been in the low 140's until recently- I'm about 153 now:grumble: (139ish at my healthiest, senior year of college when I almost literally lived at the gym!).
I'm just not sure how exactly to "figure" it, or how to think about it realistically without automatically saying "I want to be 120 pounds!!" :laugh:0 -

exactly- I am also contemplating going into training for a fitness figure competition its still up in the air if I will actually do one but going into training is a def thought in my head- Its intense as far as eating and working out- because you have to define all muscles on your body and the suits are not forgiving at all- but if I do that then I will prob drop another 20lbs maybe more-
So yes having a number in your head isn't the best thing cause you really don't know if you will like the way you look at that weight and will either want to lose more or maybe even gain a little- lol
My husband won't let me get to small he said if I lose too much he will sneak protein shakes in my food to help me gain some weight lol0 -
Now that I am so into this ...and accomplishing my goals, I want to keep going and going. Im not sure at what point I will be content with the way I look.
Funny, everyone says how "good" I look, but I'm still not content:ohwell:
Wishing everyone luck in reaching a "healthy" goal:flowerforyou:0 -
I can understand this feeling too. Even back when i was thinner and maintaining I spent a summer losing more weight just to see how I looked. I was too thin though and hard to maintain so I went back to what was doable for my lifestyle and I was still happy.
I view my goal now as a guideline and I will reevaluate when I get there. I am much less active then I was back then so I may settle on a weight that is higher simply because its something I can maintain without feeling deprived.
I guess we will all have to get there and the see0 -
I can certainly understand your desire to lose more. I have 30 pounds left to my goal. My goal is at the top end of what I should weigh for my height and build. I've recently started debating on what to do when I finally reach that goal. Certainly I could lose another 15 to 25 and still be within my healthy range. As others have said, I guess I will just have to see how I feel and look when I get there. I'd like to rest for a while and stabilize at that weight maybe, then continue on for the rest. We'll see I guess. Good luck to you!

I put my goal at the lowest I want to go. I have my goal for 120 pounds, I have no idea what this will look like on me the lowest I've ever been was 170 and I looked awesome. so I'm not sure how much further than that I will go we'll see.0

Exactly! I reached my goal & realized I'm not quite looking the way I want, although much closer. My real goal to begin with is more a goal of how I look and what I can do physically. So I'm now thinking about really stepping up my strength training & maybe gaining a few pounds that way, rather than just losing more. And maybe the muscle gain & fat loss will actually keep my weight about the same anyway.
Congrats on your progress!!!0
