Getting serious...again!

Hello Anyone,
Am new to the boards and I guess I am looking for some motivation. Have seen myself creep past 235 again and finally want to get down to about 220 and stay there. Always sorta considered myself a gym-rat and used the excuse that if I work out, I can eat anything. After about 40 that just didn't work out anymore so I guess I need to really crack down on healthier eating habits. I am pretty good about getting to the gym and running/weight lifting. Am going to run the Virginia Beach Shamrock 8k with the goal of running the Rock-n-Roll Half-Marathon this summer. I am a standard issue (ok, maybe a bit on the tallish side) guy, wife -1, kids - 2, dogs - 3 with the added stress of a career change coming up this year. If this sounds familier or if you have any insights, would welcome your comments.
