recumbent bike....how would you log this?

OK so I really need to invest in a HRM, and as soon as we get the money to spend on one I will. In the meantime I need t try to figure out how to log everything and try to be accurate. I just got a recumbent bike (borrowed). I rode for 60 minutes and a total of 23.6km...so that would have been my average speed I am guessing. So 23.5 km is 14.6mph. On the exercise log for bike riding this is listed as vigorous 14-16mph. S should I log it as 60 minutes vigorous. Or maybe 40 minutes moderate and 20 vigorous...or just 60 minutes moderate....which is listed as 12-14mph?
Any and all input welcome....Thanks!
