Ok, so heres the deal, last year around this time, I got really serious about losing weight. I lost almost 30 lbs! Then, I had lots of drama at work, lots of drama at home, not being able to afford healthy food (or food period at some parts) and I just was really distracted. Now, I'm living back with my mom trying to pick up the pieces of my life and get back to living a healthy lifestyle.
Mom normally cooks for me, but I need some pointers as far as keeping my morale high when I'm not losing and tips on keeping myself motivated when I'm in pain from exercising but seeing no results (As everyone knows that happens)
Really anything that you guys can tell me will help!!
My promise to you is that I will be more attentive to this site and make sure that I can offer the same encouragement that you guys give me!!

You can do this!
After some serious ankle surgery this summer / fall, I put on THIRTY POUNDS.... on top of the 30 I really needed to lose. I'm here if you need some motivation!0 -
here are a few tips that I found to work for me:
1. Make MFP your home page
2. Log in EVERYDAY, read the message boards... post.. Keep your mind actively thinking about it.
3. Don't try to change too much at once, Implement 1 change every week or so. Little tweeks over time seem to work best or at least better than butt load of change all at once
4. Always be honest. We al fall on our way to the top, be honest, no one is judging you here... we all support eachother
5. Keep trying new things until you find what works for you (It took me a while to find my plan and it works great for me but I wouldn't push it on anyone else)
6. Its easier to lift weights than the burdens of carrying weight.
7. take it one day at a time.
8. Have a cheat day or meal, where you eat what you want
9. Try to talk to yourself as if you are talking to your child or loved one. Often times the thing we need most is to be a better friend to ourselves.

Take it one day at a time - no one meets their goals overnight. Focus on your goal and stay positive. Look for ways to vary your workouts, maybe meet up with a friend a day or two a week to workout for motivation. Use music as a motivator while working out. Try and plan your meals ahead of time as well, maybe you and your mom can grocery shop together so that you can choose the foods that you will eat as well.
GOOD LUCK!0 -
I always thought the hardest part was getting started. Just keep taking small steps and forgive yourself for the mistakes but just keep moving forward.0

Look at the success going on around you. I get pissed when my scale isn't moving but feel your body if your mixing strength and cardio if the scale isn't moving I am aware my body is changing. Become self aware of your body as it changes0
