The answer is NO. No I do not want to go out to dinner...have a glass of wine...or three....and then split a 1000 calorie dessert! nooo thank ya! My girlfriends love love love to go out to eat and before I was always suggesting the places to go...Thai, Italian, indian, Mexian...you name it! On my journey towards becoming more healthy, I sent a mass e-mail to all my friends and kindly asked them to not ask me to go out to dinner...or lunch. Once in a while is fine, but I was easily banking 1500 calories on dinner or lunch alone because it's fun to indulge, chat, indulge some more! I've asked my friends to do work out with me instead! Instead of a brownie sundae, come for a walk with me. Instead of splitting a bottle of wine, meet me at the gym! It's REALLLLLY helped! It also makes the dinner and lunch dates that I do have so much better...and i can actually fit into my pants! Whew!

Any other suggestions for resisting temptation?

Also, I would love new buddies to help motivate me! Help!

    Go out to eat, and don't eat as much.

    Pick places that have their menus on line. scope it out before you go so you won't be tempted to order something unhealthy.

    When you go out for dinner split an entree. Or ask them for a doggy bag right away and pack up half. :)

    Thanks everyone! I went to chipotle for dinner and literally ate 1/4 of it bec I was full after just that much! Yahooooo.
