NSV from co-worker

Let me begin by stating that I am in a bit of an exercise funk due to a large leg contusion from a car wreck on 1/16/12. So I haven't been able to work out and am allowed to starting tomorrow. Anyway, one of my co-workers told me that I am losing weight dangerously fast! This is not the case as my 42 pound loss has come over a ten month period, but I still basked in the glow of the compliment.

Well done! I wonder what your coworker considers a safe speed to lose weight...and how qualified they are to do so!

Oh how I bet that feels so good! That means people are noticing and we all know it's by no means dangerously fast. Great work and keep it up you are doing so great.

I've no idea what NSV means, but congratulations on your recovery and still sticking with the weight loss goals. That's a major funk to work through!!

Non Scale Victory (I only learned this a short while ago myself... I've been wondering for 6 months).

Love the compliment, it's acknowledgment with just a teensy bit of envy (hence the too fast part)!

You've been losing for months, but they just recently noticed. It' happens a lot that people suddenly realize you're different and wonder how you lost it so fast.

    Great job!

aaaah! silly co workers! i have also had my loss over about a year (considering my youngest is almost one!!) a few people have said something along the way. but lately more have made comments. one was a manager of mine and it was comical because he was super cautious! i think it is a thin line between not knowing if it will be a good thing to say or a bad thing to say... he said "did you loose weight? i wanted to compliment ya but didn't know if it would be bad becasue its not like you were huge before!" LOL!! so bask it the glory babe!! people are noticing for sure! and for the silly girl who thinks you are doing it the WRONG way i will get her for ya! ;) so glad you are gonna be back.
