Bread is evil

I just had lunch with my wife at a Lebanese place we like, I had a salad with a chicken breast. She ordered hummous, baba ganoosh, tabooli, and bread... 3 pieces of freashly baked bread, the most owesome bread!!! 540 calories... It's just not right!!
So after work I got to the gym and exericise... then I can eat my exercise calories??? I haven't lost any weight yet doing the "eating my exercise calories" thing, still sounds like a good ol american rationalization for over eating to me.

I try to eat back only my "extra" exercise calories. I have come to think of 3 - 45 minute work outs a week as what I owe myself. If I go to the gym an extra day or stay a little longer, then I allow myself to cheat.
As for the wonderful bread at that Lebanese resturant, I feel your pain! Best of luck with your temptation. I try to think of those types of things as desert... a little bit goes a long way.0
