I'm 19 years old and roughly 197lbs. I've steadily gained weight in 5 years after my dog became too old for long walks and agility training and I never really noticed the weight gain. Last year I went to a new doctor and found out that I've had elevated liver enzymes for a few years (former doctor never informed me about any problems with my bloodwork) and that I have a fatty liver. That was a good wake up call and I'm tired of constantly feeling like crap.
I recently started going to a gym and I signed up to volunteer at a humane society, so hopefully exercising at the gym and working with animals that aren't as ancient as my dog will start getting me back in shape. My initial goal is 135-145lbs and then go from there to see what's best for my body.

Good luck getting back in shape! That's awesome you're going to be helping out at the humane society, that's a fun way to get some extra exercise!0
