Hi everybody, I have been tracking my nutrition to aid Weight loss. Allmost every day I am going over my sugar allowance by around 27gams, maybe more some daysI have now wiped out sticky buns, buiscuits, fizzy pop and cakes since starting my weightless journey.

I am finding that the majority of my sugars are coming from fruit and vegetables. I also eat a fruit yogurt at dinner time and have noticed that the majority of my grams were coming from that. I have now changed to a brand with a great deal less sugar. I've also cut down from 2/3 pieces of fruit a day to just 1 but eating plenty of vegetables.

I can't believe that there is so much sugar in things like carrots, I know they are better than sugar found else where but is going over my levels daily going to drastically reduce my weightloss chances?

I go over on my sugar almost every day but rarely eat "sweets". My sugar also comes mostly from fruits and vegetables. I was going to post a question about the same thing but ran across your post first. I am anxious to see what others have to say about sugar from "healthy" foods. I actually cut out my yogurt completely because of the sugar...it was never a favorite thing to eat anyway. I had been told that our body processes sugar from "healthy" foods differently but I have no real clue other than I know that going over on sugar with fruits and veggies surely has to be better than going over with cookies and candy! LOL!!

See in a way I kind of see yogurts as a bit a sweet treat food. For my lunch I generally have a salad and eat the yoghurt afterwards to sweeten everything. Although peppers seem to do a good job for sweetening in a strange way.
