Calorie/Diabetic question

Hello~
This may be a silly question...but I wanted to get other people's opinion.
Ideally of course, diabetic or not, we should be spreading out our calories rather evenly throughout the day.
But let's say...someone unexpectedly invites you to lunch, and the place you go to is like a "burger place" -or a place that really doesn't offer nice low calorie options.
So by the time you finish lunch you've pretty much eaten your ENTIRE calories remaining for the day.
The question is...should I not eat for the rest of the day?
Or just consider it a "cheat day"?
