I have a light/high protein low fat snack about an hour before a workout and generally get a high protein snack immediately following and then have dinner with an hour or so afterwards.
  • I wake up famished. If I don't eat within a half hour or so then I start turning into a monster...

Wake up at 5:20 and have ALL meals prepared for the day. Prior to workout (20 min it takes me to drive there) I have a small breakfast like a serving of cereal or a protein shake. After the workout (at work) I have my yummy breakfast. All in all before 9am I'm consuming around 300-500 calories.
  • I usually eat after. Sometimes I'll eat a banana before though.

usually i'm an eat and exercise kind of gal, unless it's in the evening in which i have a snack and then eat dinner after working out.
  • eat - exercise - eat again

small carb breakfast, work-out, then protein

    This.
  • I usually work out in the evenings not the mornings. My day usually goes breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, workout, dinner. Though on weekends I usually try to work out on an empty stomach. Check out this article. Super interesting.

Exercise, then eat. I tend to make better choices that way.
  • I do both. I can't exercise on an empty stomach. I eat something light like a piece of fruit and then I have fage yogurt afterwards.

I like to eat first, wait about an hour an a half, then workout.

Carmie, I gotta get into some protein shakes. I wouldn't know where to start.
I have a little bit of food for breakfast (usually not all too hungry when I wake), then after exercising, I have a protein shake... and then later on is when the larger meal comes in.
