Mood/Emotions/Personality changes with diet/exercise...

Anyone notice any changes when they started dieting/working out hard? Mine include:
-tiredness, therefore irritability after intense workout days
-irritability from hunger
-more judgmental of others eating/fitness routines ESPECIALLY if they make comments (particularly critical ones) on yours
Sometimes I feel like I need to wear a warning sign on my head "will snap if you talk to me about my day, especially if it relates to diet/exercise" LOL. I sometimes wonder if the "quick to snap" might come from the added testosterone in my body from my heavy workouts?
Anyone else have weird/similar changes?

these symptoms go along with anemia .. I was having the same kinda stuff ..also some dizzy spells and found out I was very anemic... you should have your levels checked.0 -
Honestly, the only time exercise or watching what I eat makes me crabby is when I have hormonal problems. For example, when my thyroid is out of whack, I seem to hate working out and I want to eat everything. I get frustrated with how tired I feel.
However, when my thyroid hormones are normal, I feel fine and working out makes me feel proud and accomplished. I am cheerful when I know I've eaten well. I don't count calories anymore though. I just try to get an idea for what nutritional content is in my food, like protein, fiber, etc. I also try to drink two quarts of water everyday.0 -
I find that on days that I run I am a bit aggressive, maybe its the adrenaline. Not always good though, last weekend I yelled at a kid watching a rec basketball game because he was making loud noises to distract the players making free throws. Not my proudest sports mom moment but now I'm aware and know I need to try harder.0

Cardio makes me feel fabulous and makes my mood so much better. Strength exhausts me so much and does make me irritable.
I tend to be hungry constantly after several days of intense workouts, especially strength. And I mean like I can NOT stay full. Real hunger, too, not just wanting to eat.
I am finding myself becoming judgemental about people who are overweight and they aren't working on it. I think it's because I'm one of the laziest people I have ever known, and I have managed to do it.
I judge people who pay ridiculous amounts of money for diet plans. I know this is wrong and I shouldn't do it, and I'm working on it lol.0 -

I didn't know this! I am on iron right now for anemia.0 -
Definitely not anemia or thyroid related. All my levels have always been bang on. I think its more likely heavy lifting on a calorie restricted diet (with higher levels of protein to maintain muscle gain). Its draininggggg!!!0

I think you are right. It makes sense with what I've experienced.0
