Any suggestions for recipes?

    Tastes kinda nutty. Texture is sorta brown-ricey, not like tofu at all. Very cookable, a million things you can do with it.

    My favorite? Slice it into 1/4" thick slices. Drizzle with a bit of soy sauce or ponzu. Fry in a very small amount of oil until nicely browned.

    I'll usually serve with stir-fried veggies and rice.

    There are some unholy recipes which suggest using it as a meat replacement. Those people are insane and should be avoided. It's delicious as long as you don't try to call it "meat replacement"

    I bought bacon like tempeh and it was good but have to use non stick pan or grease well. I bought a tempeh patty and it was horrible......fell apart, didnt cook well even in a greased pan....it was a different brand. It has its own flavor hard to describe, kind of nutty I guess. The texture is lumpy like compressed grains.

    Its not my fave veggie thing to eat but it serves its purpose.
