low calorie / high nutrition

hi can someone please explain to me why having a low calorie count is bad? i know it has to do with energy
but i am getting a lot of vitamins and etc etc from what i eat

Because calories are energy, they are the fuel that keeps your body moving.
I think it's easy to get so focussed on calories and trying to eat an ever smaller number of them that we forget that calories aren't the enemy, without them we would die!
Losing weight shouldn't be a competition about who can eat the smallest number of calories and still stay alive, it should be about finding a healthy number of calories to allow you to be healthy, full of energy and able to do all the things you want to do every day and to get to a healthy weight for you.
Cutting calories to very low numbers is going to make it much harder to get in enough nutrition and enough sheer energy to make this possible.0 -
