Hi,
My name is Michael. I'm 37 and live in Nampa Idaho. I started getting serious about this journey, this past Thanksgiving(2011) and when I weighed on 11/30/11 I was 434 lbs. At my last weigh in I was 411.4. Now is the right time for me. I'm still fighting my old thinking and patterns, but things are clicking like they never have before. I've found the right people and place to help me with this journey. I joined a local wieght loss competition on Jan 21st and have been ramping things up ever since, step by step, learning and growing in knowledge, and shrinking in pounds. This is my year, I can't go back, I want this, I need this!
I've even started a personal blog to help me on my way, and down the road and hopefully inspire others who are struggling with similar things. I'm trying to be as honest as I can with myself so when things get harder, I can look back and recognize why I'm doing this and what I've accomplished. I've found this site helpful and know I can't do this on my own. So here I am.
