Hey guys,
Just wanting some advice, I am always over my daily reccommended sugar intake and sometimes my protein intake as well. Is this a bad thing? Feel free to check out my food diary, any feedback is welcome :) Thanks!

Protein intake is ok to be over you just have to watch as you may get constipated. Maybe add a bit more fiber if you are continually over by a lot.

Sugar is tricky. Ive seen people on here say that if you are regularly over your sugar intake that it will hinder your weight loss. Even if it is the natural sugar. That being said I try to keep my sugar below 24. Its really hard to do. Most people not on a diet injest 110 sugar a day.(Im not sure if its measured in units or tsp or mg) I read that in SHAPE magazine I think. Fruit has a ton of natural sugar so you just have to watch how much fruit you eat.

Looking at your diary the one thing I did see that you could change in sugar would be the jam.. I always use sugar free as its still sweet and tastes good. the full sugar one you use has 11 sugar.

Im sure you will get a ton of answers. You may want to google recommended sugar intake and research it yourself .

    Good luck
  • Thank you, thats great advice!
I think I may need to swap some of my fruit for veggies and I didn't even think of sugar-free jam (great tip). Will give google search a go too! :)

Same thing happens to me! I've been trying to count my processed sugar separately, and keep the processed sugar down to 25 g a day... I think I'm failing lol.

To get constipated from protein you have to go WAY over and not get much fiber at all. Basically whatever protein your body doesn't absorb, it passes through, or that's what I've heard anyway.
