I can relate to where you are coming from. I HATED running & I mean I HATED running. I would rather do house work than run but, that is the past.

I invested in a good pair of running kicks. I downloading some of my favorite songs and made a play list. I rescheared couch to 5k techniques. Now I jog (not run) 3-5 days a week. I LOVE IT!!

My advise is take it slow. Pace yourself. I use my playlist to pace myself. When a new song starts check your pace & how you are feeling and adjust ackordingly. Start with speed walking.

Think about how you feel after...I always feel like I can conquor the world. Plus I love what it does for my body :)

You just have to listen to your body & you will find what works for you. Running/jogging isn't for everyone.

I find it easier to run somewhere - i.e. I run to work or I pack a book and some picnic food and run to the park. going out for a run is hard but i am begining to enjoy running so that is now becoming all the motrivation I need!

    good luck
  • I do it because even though I'm fat I still get stares from sexy, sexy morning commuters watching my jugs bounce up and down.

    I'm vain. I know.

You run carrying jugs of water? Why?

    oooohhhhh. I see. nevermind.

OP, I find that I prefer to run outside, because of the changes in terrain, scenery, and the great cooling effect from running outdoors instead of in. I have to make mysel go to the gym to run on the treadmill during bad weather. Great music helps.
