Getting through the barrier

I was reluctant to post anything, until a friend suggested I may come up with some great ideas from others.
I love to cook, but lately, I have found all I do is work, go home, workout, cook, eat and go to bed. I don't have a life, and in the frustrating moments, where I would rather go out to eat, I would go get fast food just so I don't have to cook any more.
All I focus on is losing weight, and I have been losing pretty good, but I still want to live my life. I think my issue is that when I went to culinary school, we were taught how to cook using whole fat cream, and butter and anything that would make the food taste good. We weren't taught that good food can be healthy food too. So now, my fall backs for quick dinners are unusable, because I can't make them the way I used to.
Also, I am Ukrainian, and we are taught since we were little, when people come over, feed them until they can't eat anymore. No one should ever leave your house hungry.
Combining the culinary arts and the Ukrainain background makes me want to have good food usually unhealthy food, in the house all the time, but I don't want to be serving my guests carrot sticks.
Does any one have any suggestions on how to keep my motivation up? At first, I loved doing all of this, cooking different foods, and making new things, Making myself a healthier person. Now I have hit a barrier where I have had enough. It's just easier to order food rather than cook it.

Try to experiment and make a "healty" food taste wonderful. I'm not sure what kind of eating plan you are on- but I'm on low carb. I'm allowed whole cream and things that can be considered "less healthy" as long as I fit it in the carb content. I really wanted a treat and so I made up a no noodle lasagna and I found another recipe for no pasta mac and cheese- I made it with cauliflour and it was amazing! I felt like I was getting a treat.
Put your food on a new, pretty plate. Set the table nice. Put some lemon in your water. Make your meals special. I totally get the whole work, exercise, cook, sleep thing- I'm there- but i'm trying to mix it up.
Also- Subway salads!!!! The Roasted chicken salad is the lowest calorie and carb option. Its amazing and you feel like you're getting so much for such a little cost. If you need to eat out somewhere- plan ahead! Look at the menu and know what you're going to order before you go that way you don't feel the pressure in the moment.
Good luck- I hope this helps0
