sometimes going over/under???

I don't mind when I am having a non-exercise day and going just over the 1200 by 100 or less, but on days when I exercise I try to eat back all of it but sometimes I get close instead. For example today, I am 40 cals under the amount need to eat back but I am stopping myself cause I don't wanna go over because it makes the working out seem pointless, so my question is as long as I am over the 1200/day does having a slight deficit of 0-50 cals every once and a while going to impact that much??

Don't sweat it too much. Try to come close to what you are supposed to eat but don't make yourself crazy. As long as you generally average out to where you are supposed to be over the course of a few days, you're fine.0
