what do you do when you know your treadmill readout is not accurate? is there a battery to replace or does it need to be seen by a serviceperson or is it on its way to being junk?

I would call for service. After we moved ours last year the speed control went all out of whack and no matter what we did it just kept going faster and faster. Service guy came out, fixed it and checked everything out, cost about $100.0

Most have a speed sensor that works off of a fly wheel and an automatic calibration mode. If you can find a manual for your treadmill, I may be able to help you out from afar. Usually the sensor just needs to be moved a little closer or further from the wheel and the calibration routine run.0
